Did you know there is a dragon in Renton?? Its name is Erasmus, and while it doesn't breathe fire, it does light up in different colors.

A nice elderly couple saw me taking pictures of it, and they showed me its footprints inside a coffeeshop across the street. "Is it a real dragon?" I asked, meaning was it a specific dragon from a story? "As real as a dragon can be," she told me, probably thinking I was nuts. The game Dungeons & Dragons was invented in Renton, so this installation honors that part of the city's history.
