Poke in the Eye at the Seattle Art Museum

I went in search of AC, and found a relief and a fun exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. There's a toilet in the gallery!? They have old school rotary dial telephones throughout the exhibit for kids to listen to. The art is colorful and playful. Bonus: Kids under 14 are free at SAM.

The namesake piece, Poke in the Eye. The medium is neon lights!
Why is there a toilet in the exhibit?? That's the best part of being an artist, YOU get to decide what is art.
Here's a view of the toilet bowl from above. There are brown poops inside spelling out "ART."
Les Demoiselles d'Alabama, a riff on Picasso.
Rotary dial phone, kids today don't know what they're missing. You pick up the receiver and there's a little audio recording about the show.
Love the type at the exhibit entrance. So fun.
Huge (like disproportionally huge) activity room at the start/end of the exhibit.
Ceramic swimming pool.
Patti Warashina toasters.
Obsessed with pretend food.
