Northwest Trek
The highlight of our visit to Northwest Trek was the tram ride. Paul laughed and laughed on board, and we got way up close to a herd of bison.
Our tour guide pointed out some pretty pink flowers, and told us it is toxic. Foxglove is used in heart medication, and eating the blossom will stop your heart! I had no idea. My boys aren't the type to shove things in their mouths, but the big clump in our front yard? Gone.
Reindeer!
The wildlife park was a 90-minute drive, quite a ways out of our usual radius. We made a day of it, taking our time exploring the walking paths and the huge kids' playground. That's Joseph in the rope bridge!
Capturing a moment. Ha!
