Our first time flying kites, and our first visit to the beautiful Deception Pass. West Beach is AMAZING for little kids. Easy access, because you can drive right up to the beach. Nice public restrooms. Salt water on one side, and a lake for swimming (if you're brave) a stone's throw away. We only got both kites up in the air simultaneously for a minute, but here's visual proof documenting that minute! Paul actually did better than Joseph at flying kites, but he lost interest and wanted to poke at the sand with a stick instead. We stopped at the Deception Pass bridge to walk around and take in the windy view. Pictures of me with the kids by Chris.
