I tried the sushi at Costco

I did it! Got the sushi at the Issaquah Costco!

Cost: $14.99/lb for California rolls. Sushi is my weakness, and now I can treat myself more often.

30 minutes to store closing, still cranking away.

The verdict: Will definitely get this again. Like everything else at Costco, portions are big, about twice the usual size. They're generous with the filling too. No skimping here.

Omg, that LINE.

The details: I arrived a half hour before the store closed, and almost didn't bother because who wants sushi that's been sitting around all day? Uh-uh. The sushi guys are still madly cranking out rolls, with a long line of customers watching at the window and waiting. As soon as an employee brought out a cart, it was all immediately snatched up. Next time hopefully I can snag some sashimi.

Racks are completely empty.

What's the big deal: The Seattle Times reported Issaquah is the first location to offer store-made sushi.

The very nice young employee wheeled out a cart and all the boxes were gone LIKE THAT.

Note: Corporate Costco headquarters is across the street. Apparently, the CEO comes into this location every week!
