I scoured the Internet for months, searching for a rental in the Thousand Islands that wasn't disgusting or crazy expensive (or inexplicably, both). I finally found the 1000 Islands Harbor Inn in Clayton, which is a few miles outside Alexandria Bay. The building is just three years old, super clean and has nice pool. Win for everyone!
