Empire State Building

We got SO LUCKY and caught the perfect window on an otherwise foggy day to go up the Empire State Building. I shelled out extra to see the 102nd floor too, just before the fog rolled back in. When we got down to street level, we saw a line wrapped around the block of people waiting to go up. Feels like the Empire State Building people should warn visitors, you're going to see a lot of expensive nothing?

Lower Manhattan. The light was briefly magical.

Chrysler building viewed from the 86th floor, and viewed from the 102 floor. There, now you know.
Looking north, with a peek of Central Park
Look at that light over Jersey!
To the east
One World Trade Center stands 1776 feet tall; the Empire State Building is 1454 feet tall.
On the 102nd floor
Uh oh, clouds moving in...
And within minutes, this was the view from the top of the Empire State Building!
