We are using these final days of freedom before s****l starts up to hit up our favorite playgrounds. The boys call this the Chutes and Ladders playground; it's West Fenwick Park in Kent. A bit of a haul, but this place is UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE.
Then as we were about to leave (after two solid hours of fun), a Kent Parks & Rec van pulls up and two guys jump out and start putting out soccer balls and goals, a volleyball net, hula hoops, wiffle balls, a giant parachute, all the good stuff. They even brought presents for the kids to take home (art kits, blow-up balls, Frisbees) and kids LOVE presents. This was just the icing on the cake of an already perfect day. I pooh-pooh Seattle parks a lot, but come on, this was Kent and it was amazing.
