Play street

I had a blast shooting this photo assignment for ParentMap! The weather was absolutely perfect, the light was beautiful and the kids had so much fun. One of my pictures even made the magazine cover. The story about play streets is here. a_lo b_lo c_lo d_lo e_lo f_lo g_lo h_lo i_lo j_lo Joseph and Paul came with me and got to ride with our beat-up scooter (a $2 buy!) in the street. k_lo

Bakeries with kids

Soon after I finished this story about bakeries for ParentMap, someone asked if I was expecting. Nope, just a pastry baby. I have a whole new level of respect for the people who write about food full-time. It's a dangerous thing. 1_HelloRobin Hello Robin’s Robin Wehl Martin with a tray of Mackles’mores. 2_Salvadorean Pastries from Salvadorean Bakery. 4_BesaluEating a strawberry Danish at Café Besalu.

Intergenerational Learning Center

I photographed children and residents at Providence Mount St. Vincent, an assisted living center and nursing home in West Seattle. The Mount houses almost 300 residents, as well as the Intergenerational Learning Center, a daycare facility. One hundred and twenty five children attend the ILC, ranging from six weeks to kindergarten ready. The average age of the residents is 92.
The story is in this month's ParentMap here.
