The Anne Frank tree was planted at Seattle Center in 2016, and it only took me 7 years to find it.
Seattle received one of 11 Anne Frank saplings to come to the U.S. The tree is planted at the Peace Garden, between the Space Needle and the Pacific Science Center.
Anne Frank could see a chestnut tree from her window in the Secret Annex. She wrote in her diary: "As long as this exists, how could I be sad?"
The sapling was propagated from the original tree, which died in a windstorm in 2010.
