Father’s Day at SAM

We spent Father's Day at SAM (thanks, Carmon!!) and the lobby is a huge hit with our little car-obsessed boy. When I was working at the front desk, I sort of grew to hate the Cai Guo Qiang installation. It seemed like every visitor had some smart-aleck comment. ("Is this what happened to the 'Cash for Clunkers' program?" Harhar, you're really not that original.) The couple of times I've taken Joseph to the museum, his heart practically explodes with happiness when he sees those flying cars. He's so LOUD everyone in the museum can hear his joy. The Ancestral Modern show is stunning. It's Australian aboriginal art, but the pieces would be right at home in any modern art gallery. Lots of vivid colors and shapes, completely baby-friendly. No photos allowed in the galleries -- go check it out for yourself!
