Tulips and ponies
For spring break we took a quick trip to HOLLAND to see those famous tulips! Gosh, what an epic day trip. I can't get enough of those beautiful rows of blooms. This year we went to Tuliptown, which has smaller tulip fields than Roozengaarde, but it has a big grassy field for kite flying.

My only regret was that we didn't get to the famous ice cream at Snow Goose produce. We tried to go, but so did 50 million other people, and the line was too long. Normally I'm all about long lines — it means the food is good! — but we had a date with ponies to catch!

Lang's Horse and Pony farm is off the same exit as the tulips, so I booked a trail ride to get the most bang out of our drive up to Skagit. Joseph rode Mary Anne, and Paul rode Princess Amy, two very patient and nice ponies.
