Alki is just over in West Seattle, but we hadn't been there in, uh, two years. (?!) Joseph rode more than a mile along the bike path to the beach area, only needing a little boost toward the end. Paul's first time playing with sand and he loved it. There is now sand all over my house (even some inside Paul's diaper), despite me shaking and brushing everyone off before coming home.
