Chilly and cloudy today, woohoo! I can't stand heat, and turns out Joseph is an even bigger weather wimp than me. After a week of laying around in front of the fan and eating watermelon, it was nice to go out in our fleeces again. This is one of our regular hangouts, the intersection between Mercer and 5th. There's the Gates Foundation behind us, but the real draw is the heavy traffic in front. Cars and trucks and buses, oh my! Now when Joseph sees a Metro bus, he says, "Buh! Buh!" Today Joseph got his first taste of chocolate (organic, fair trade, which makes it okay, right?) AND his first taste of sushi. He's truly my kid -- he LOVED both!
