Cool and overcast is how I like my beach (sorry, California!) so the Washington coast was perfect for a weekend getaway. We'd heard good things about a new resort community, Seabrook, and it was every bit family friendly as promised. Now that I have two kids, I'm finding it's worth it to spend a little more to stay in a nicer place. The cottage we rented was completely stocked and was an easy walk to the beach, the playground and the fire pit. Joseph loved running in the sand with his kite and drawing in the damp sand. Paul was there too, I promise, only he was in my baby carrier the entire time.
